I wanted to buy an electric pencil sharpener for my niece who was starting second grade. I went online and decided to buy the Stanley Bostitch Personal Electric Pencil Sharpener. This was the best purchase, the price was reasonable, it was the perfect size, it has easy access to the shavings,sharpens your pencil without any hesitation and my niece loves it because she can use it all by herself. I then decided to buy another one a week later for my grandson, who started second grade, who also loves it and he also doesn't want any help. What a great product!!!

After sharpening About 10 pencils, this cheaply made junk stopped working within 15 mins of usage?? Only fits one size of pencil and half the pencils got stuck in pencil sharpener? This pencil sharpener grabbed a hold of the pencil so tightly that it scraped the paint off the pencil & left grease marks all over pencil?? This sharpener is horribly designed and is such a joke that I was sitting there laughing at it?? I cannot believe Bostitch puts their name on these pencil sharpeners? Their products are not definitely NOT what they used to be... ?? :(

This pencil sharpener works great! It sharpens pencils fast and with precision. You know when it’s done sharpening as it stops sharpening it and makes a different sound, you don’t have to guess if it’s done sharpening, you KNOW it’s done. Great buy!

This is a good sharpener but, it’s not like I used in school because it’s a little less industrial. Still, sharpens a mean pencil and seems to be holding up. Only complaint is that unlike the old school sharpener, I need to keep the pencil at a slight angle while sharpening.
